I accept the legal conclusion of the attorney general and the Department of Justice that I have the authority under the Constitution to suspend Geneva as between the United States and Afghanistan, but I decline to exercise that authority at this time. Accordingly, I determine that the provisions of Geneva will apply to our present conflict with the Taliban. I reserve the right to exercise the authority in this or future conflicts.

1. Wow. That is one incriminating document, although I do not think that anything will happen out of it. I am sure that no one will be held accountable. It will just be swept under the rug I imagine.

1. Hate to say it but nothing the govenerment does is surprising. There is lots of really horrible things I am sure are kept under wraps from us all the time that is done which are barbaric and sickening to the stomach.
