The keyboards at my job are old UNIX style keyboards with the Caps Lock and Control keys swapped. There are some other little differences such as the Back Space key being directly above the Return key.

After using this keyboard for a little over a week I’m having major issues switching back to a regular keyboard when I get home at the end of the day. When I first began using the UNIX style keyboard I hated it. I kind of still hate it, but I’m using it more often now and I’m used to it.

I need to find a nice modern Sun Microsystems keyboard and mouse with a scroll wheel to swap in at work. This UNIX style Caps Lock/Control swapping may have its benefits but it’s definetly lost the keyboard standardization wars.
