Are gas prices rising world wide or just in the US? I know America has historically had a lower price for gas than most other nations and I’m curious if this recent rise in price is reflected in other non oil producing countries.

   this is a link to a year old story in Australia about the petrol price rises.  . .and they’re about to hit A$1.60/litre a year later. So yes, it’s having a global effect. Anecdotally I’d say there are more cyclists (certainly in Sydney) and the most popular car is no longer a medium sized 6-cylinder, but a 4 cylinder small car

1. Back almost 10 years ago, I visited Germany and the price for gas there was almost $1.5 per liter!!! That’s about 6 bucks per gallon in US dollars.  I heard on the radio that some countries have gas prices as high as 18 dollars.  Americans are too spoiled with the cheap gas prices.  America needs to start using a better source of oil or better conserve the gas we do have.

1. The gas price in my country too is supposed to be high. But we’re subsidized so it’s still stagnant. I’m sad to hear about the oil price in your area. Haha. Time to practice good driving habits to reduce fuel consumptions and driving to outskirts to get cheaper petrol dude.

1. We pay £1.20 (around $2 or a little more) per litre over here in England. A year ago it was only 70p!
